PEC Pals to Illuminate Royal William Yard

We received exciting news this month when PEC Pals were awarded a grant to create a new solar artwork for Illuminate 2019.

Illuminate Plymouth is a spectacular light-based festival that will help launch the Mayflower 400 anniversary year in November. The grant follows a year of working with PEC Pals and community organisation Art and Energy to explore new solar materials creatively, as they are flexible and brightly coloured. As well our own light installation at Royal William Yard, others will be placed at the Barbican, the Waterfront and Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park. The festival runs from 28th November - 1st December.

On 11th October, we held a solar panel artwork making workshop, during which our PEC Pals made their own artwork to charge their mobile phones!
