Awards recognition for PEC

We are delighted to share that PEC has recently been shortlisted for two high profile awards, recognising our person-centered approach to enabling a fair transition to clean energy.

We have been named as a finalist in the 2026 Ashden Award for Local Energy Innovation, which recognises place-based approaches that allow local communities to benefit from the transition to clean energy. These prestigious global awards celebrate organisations across the world that are leading the way in making clean, affordable energy accessible to all.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 18th June.

We have also been named on the shortlist for the Collaboration of the Year (residential or public sector transformation) category in The Energy Awards 2026. This award recognises collaborative efforts and successful industry partnerships within the energy sector and its supply chains. We have been shortlisted for the Far South West Retrofit Consortium Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project, which we delivered in partnership with five other community energy organisations from across Devon and Cornwall.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 13th May.

Reacting to the news, PEC Chief Executive Alistair Macpherson said "We are incredibly honoured and proud to be recognised at this level. It is testament to the incredible work of our committed team in putting local people here in Plymouth at the heart of all we do."
