PEC champions digital inclusion with the Recite Me assistive toolbar
New assistive tools will help every visitor browse, read and engage with our website in the way that works best for them.
We're making our website fully accessible with the Recite Me assistive toolbar, so that whatever your needs, you can browse, engage with and access our content without barriers.
Making our website work for everyone
An estimated 1 in 4 people face challenges online due to disabilities, learning differences, visual impairments or language barriers. That's why we've added the Recite Me toolbar, to give every visitor equal access to our information and services, and to make sure our website works for the whole community we serve.
What the toolbar offers
- Screen Reading Support: for visitors with visual impairments or cognitive differences
- Reading Aids: to help with focus, comprehension and retention
- Customisable Styling: so, users can adjust fonts, colours and layouts to suit them
- Translation and Text-to-Speech: on demand translation into over 100 languages, plus 65 text-to-speech voices, so non-native English speakers can fully engage with our content
