Warm & Well

In June 2016, the National Lottery awarded us almost £500,000 to support 3,500 residents with physical disabilities, mental health needs, long term conditions or learning disabilities, who are at risk of fuel poverty.

What we do

We offer help in homes, at community events and in community groups. We also raise awareness of disability and fuel poverty.with energy organisations, frontline workers and decision makers, so we can change practices for the better.

Our services are person-centred - you decide what is important for you. We understand that cold, damp homes and high bills make life miserable and often make physical and mental health worse. We also understand the importance of feeling in control of any help and support you receive. We will work alongside you to reduce bills, increase comfort, address fuel debt, maximise income and support better mental and physical wellbeing.

Where you ask for help with other issues in the home causing distress, we will talk to a large number of partner organisations to make sure you get the help you need.

The impact

After receiving our services and support:

81% felt more optimistic

74% reported better physical or mental health

70% said they felt more confident to manage in the future

67% said they could afford their energy bills better

44% made changes in the home to reduce bills and increase comfort.

Each household supported through casework became an average of £630 a year better off.
