Get Ready for Winter 2023 - PEC Pals

Our PEC Pals helped vulnerable residents 'get ready for winter' last year by connecting people and craft groups to knit, sew and craft our way to a warmer winter for everyone.

The energy crisis is making things difficult for people in our communities, and some are having to keep the heating off as it is too expensive to run.

We brought together crafting groups and people with a passion for crafting together to make things of warmth and beauty – such as blankets, gloves, hats and draught excluders. These items were given out for free from community hubs over the winter of 2023.

We held a celebration and exhibition of the Pals work at Grow Plymouth in December 2023.

PEC Pals is our volunteer programme bringing people together to make energy advice accessible to their communities and a space to help you release your creativity.

PEC Pals gives you the skills and confidence to help respond to the climate and energy crisis here in Plymouth.

You will have opportunity to develop your understanding and confidence around the challenges facing us and have the space to explore creative solutions for issues in our community, through fun and engaging sessions run by our team. You will also have the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills or share those you already have.
