Frequently asked questions
I’m not sure if I/we are eligible
Our advisors can help you to work this out and provide advice about what you can do if you are not eligible. Give our friendly team a call, you have nothing to lose.
My boiler isn’t completely broken, can I still apply?
This scheme can only help if your boiler is broken enough that you are unable to heat your home. However, other schemes will soon be available if you need to replace an old boiler. These may take a little longer and there is often little notice of when the schemes will open or close. We will put you on a waiting list for a possible replacement boiler, and if it breaks in the meantime we will access emergency help.
What other help can the Energy Team provide?
We can help you to deal with other emergency situations like topping up your meter if you run out of credit or negotiating with an energy supplier.
Our friendly advisors can also help you to make sure your energy bills are cheaper and less worrying in the long term. We can help you to access better deals, claim what you are entitled to (but may not know about), install energy saving items in your home and stay warm while using less energy.
